Crane Down- This is used to make the viewer feel like they are being dropped into the scene and being a part of the character's world. Crane Up- The shot gives us a feeling of how the character is, or how hard the obstacle is that they have to overcome. Crane High To Low Angle- Gives the character a strong and composing feel. Gives a sense of authority and fear. Handheld- Can create a sense of uneasiness and danger, but it is most effective if the camera is shaking. Quick Pan- Reveals something dangerous, usually throws the audience for a loop and sends them in a totally different emotional direction. Quick Push In- Creates a sense of surprise or shock Slow Dolly In- Creates tension, and can make us become more intimate with the character. It can make us feel uncomfortable, or share the emotions of the character. Slow Dolly Out- As the viewer you feel an emotional disconnect with the character.
